Community Notice: Get Free Tax Help in Contra Costa

If you earned less than $52,000 in 2009, you can get your taxes prepared for free through the Earn It! Keep It! Save It! Contra Costa campaign. IRS-certified tax preparers will help you get the return you deserve. You may also qualify for the Earned Income Tax Credit, which could mean a refund of up to $5,657. Earn It! Keep It! Save It! Contra Costa will file your taxes electronically, so you can get your refund in about a week.

Last year, 47,000 Bay Area families filed their taxes with Earn It! Keep It! Save It! They avoided hundreds of dollars in tax preparation fees and “rapid refund” loan fees, and you can too!

There are 19 free tax sites in Contra Costa County.
